A convenient synthesis of secondary amines has been prepared by the reduction of Schiff bases by using sodium borohydride as a selective reducing agent. The Schiff bases were synthesized from 2-hydroxy-3-iodo-5-phenyl benzaldehyde moiety. The structures of the compounds have been confirmed by elemental analysis and spectral data. The antibacterial activity of these compounds has also been screened.Keywords
